Are you retiring soon?
We like to emphasise the importance of joining the Benevolent Fund at the start of your policing career.
Whether you’re a serving West Midlands Police officer, PSCO or a member of police staff, hopefully you have valued your membership with the Benevolent Fund during your service.
You may have used some of our services, for example, the treatment centre at St Michael’s Lodge or received shopping vouchers during periods of sickness. Perhaps we have assisted you with a charitable grant or maybe you and your family have attended one of our events or stayed at one of our holiday homes.
If you haven’t personally received benefits through the fund, your monthly subscriptions have definitely supported fellow members in times of need, so thank you for your loyal support over the years.
If you are nearing retirement, you can remain a member of the Benevolent Fund and continue to enjoy its many membership benefits.
Subscription fees reduce to £1 per month or £3.75 for protected members.
PLEASE NOTE:
- If you are not currently a member of the Benevolent Fund and retire from West Midlands Police you cannot join once you have left the force. You must have more than 12 months service remaining with West Midlands Police to be eligible to join the Fund. Click here to join.
- If you are currently a member of the Benevolent Fund but do not notify us that you wish to remain in the fund prior to your retirement, your membership will automatically cease and you will not be able to re-join.
