PayPlan’s November Blog – Part Two

Encouraging open conversations about money

Every day, we speak to people who are worried about paying bills or who would like support setting up repayment plans. No one should feel alone when it comes to money worries.

By supporting Talk Money Week, we want to help more people start the conversation earlier, so they can get the right help sooner.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing practical ideas and tips across our social media channels to help make money talk feel a little easier.

What is Talk Money Week?

Talk Money Week is an annual campaign run by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS).

Each year has a theme, and for 2025 it’s ‘Start the conversation’. The goal is simple – to build confidence around talking about money, take away the stigma and make open financial conversations a normal part of everyday life.

How to get involved in Talk Money Week

Start a conversation. Your friends, family or colleagues might be feeling the same worries as you do and, by opening up, you can share tips and encouragement to manage money better together.

If you’re on social media,  join the conversation using the hashtags #TalkMoney and #StartTheConversation.

You can also show someone BudgetSmart – our free online tool that helps you find savings, make the most of your money and boost your financial wellbeing.
