Bus sale gives a cash boost to the Benevolent Fund

On behalf of the Benevolent Fund team, board of Trustees and Operations Committee we would like to express our sincere thanks to West Midlands Police for their recent donation of £250.

Three double decker buses, once used for training and exercising by the force were sold to the Transport Museum, Wythall in Worcestershire, with cash from the sale split between the PCC’s Buildings Blocks charity, Midlands Air Ambulance, Police Remembrance Trust and West Midlands Police Benevolent Fund.

We are touched that the Force chose to donate part of the funds to our police charity.

Last year, our police charity gave out over £100,000 to support members through difficult times. This donation will enable us to help even more serving and retired officers, police staff and their families.

Speaking about the difference the donation will make, our Chairman, John Williams, said: “As a charity, we rely on the kindness of others to help our work supporting officers and staff past and present.

If news of the kind donation has inspired you to help, you can find out more about the many membership benefits of joining the West Midlands Police Benevolent Fund here on our website.

For just £2 per month it offers a wide range of wellbeing support.
