Sales of the new police museum Christmas cards support Benevolent Fund

Ho, Ho, Ho! has been replaced by Hello, Hello, Hello! on the West Midlands Police Museum’s Christmas card design this year.

The wonderful artwork has been created by Year 5 student, Vivienne, from St Thomas of Canterbury Primary School, who’s ‘Merry Policemas’ won the Police Museum’s recent Christmas card competition.

According to staff at the museum, judging was very difficult due to the many creative entries they received. However, after much deliberation, Vivienne’s police themed design was crowned the winner.

As their competition winner, Vivienne received a prize bundle of museum themed goodies and was invited with her entire class to the museum for an educational day out – with guided tours and games.

Our Chairman, John Williams recently visited the museum and couldn’t resist purchasing his very own pack of Christmas cards.

“What a terrific design! One that’s sure to put a smile on everyone’s face,” expressed John.

“Congratulations Vivienne on your winning entry and well done to all the class at St Thomas of Canterbury for taking part and producing your festive artwork. I would encourage anyone visiting the police museum, in the run up to Christmas, to purchase a pack of cards. Fifty pence from the sale of every pack will go to the West Midlands Police Benevolent Fund.

“On behalf of the Benevolent Fund team, I would like to thank Corrine and the staff at the West Midlands Police Museum for nominating our police charity to receive a donation from the sale of their Christmas cards. We really appreciate your support.”

The Benevolent Fund received a recent donation of over £300, collected from the Bravery Cell at the museum. Thank you to all the visitors who left donations during their visit. We are so grateful for the money kindly placed in our charity’s collection box.
