Your £2 to the Ben Fund goes a long way
We have welcomed over 650 new members to the Benevolent Fund family so far this year, that’s another reason to celebrate during
our special 50th anniversary!
Here’s a re-cap of what your small monthly subscription to the Ben Fund offers.
Subscription per month is £2. You can apply for these benefits:
- Access to grants and interest-free loans in times of hardship or distress
- Sickness vouchers if you have been off work for more than 21 consecutive days. (You must claim these whilst off work or within 6 months of returning to work)
- Physiotherapy and well-being breaks at the multi-million pound treatment centre, St Michael’s Lodge
- Death grants of £3,500 to a nominated person (if your personal circumstances have changed don’t forget to inform us of any changes to your chosen beneficiary)
- £25 per week to your surviving children up to the age of 18 years
- Discounted holidays at our holiday properties in Dartmouth and Dorset
- Exclusive rewards scheme offering a range of discounts through the Your Rewards Scheme (see below for log in details)
- Free Will Writing Service
- Mental Heath Support through online counselling sessions
Retired members (retired officer or police staff)
Subscription per month is £1. You can apply for all the above benefits except for the death in service grant and orphan payment.

Monthly draw

Holiday homes
Our holiday homes in Dorset and Dartmouth have been very popular again this year, however we do have limited weeks still available for members to book, including new dates recently added due to a couple of recent cancellations.
Our police charity offers great membership benefits, along with the peace of mind that we’re here for you in times of hardship or distress.
