Retired? Fancy rejoining the force!

West Midlands Police has asked us to share news of their latest 30 plus rejoiner scheme.

The force has opened a new 30++ police officer rejoiner scheme to encourage retiring, or recently retired, officers to consider returning to the force.

In a bid to retain specialist skills and experience, the force is asking officers who have completed 30 years service, to consider re-joining via the new 30++ scheme. This offers retiring and recently retired officers a financially attractive way to continue doing the job you love, using your skills and experience to serve local communities.

The 30++ scheme applies to officers who are due to retire this year or have completed their service in the past 12 months. Eligible officers will retire and, following a break in service of at least one month, return to policing as a warranted officer.

Returning officers will be able to re-join at the rank they retired at, up to Inspector level, and posted to where their skills and experienced can best be used.
