An uncertain year ahead, but we’re here to help

There is no doubt, the past year has been tough for everyone. Our charity work in the coming months is to ensure we continue to support members through difficult times, as well as offering additional benefits and services that will provide assistance and promote well-being.

With over 7,000 subscribing members we are well-placed to offer support to serving officers, police staff, retired members and their immediate families. We acknowledge that a number of our members may be going through a difficult time right now, especially living alongside Covid-19 and may benefit from our support.

If you are experiencing difficulties, or you believe a work colleague may need our help please turn to us. Although there are no guarantees, you may be eligible for a grant or an interest-free loan (as long as you are a member of the Fund).

To register for help or to inquire about helping a colleague, please email us at info@wmpben.co.uk or call the office on 0121 752 4919. You can also contact us via our website www.wmpben.co.uk

Our Trustees and Operations Committee meet monthly to discuss grant applications and they’re keen to help wherever possible, so please get in touch.

As well as grant applications, members can also apply for sickness vouchers following a period of injury or ill health and can also apply for convalescence and rehabilitation breaks.

For more details on all our benefits and services visit www.wmpben.co.uk

Finally, I would urge you all to help us to share the benefits of the Benevolent Fund so that we can help our wider police family.

John Williams

Chair of West Midlands Police Benevolent Fund.
