Sea air and much needed family time

We have received lots of lovely feedback from members staying at our holiday properties in Dartmouth and Weymouth this year. Whether its serving officers or police staff taking a break to re-charge batteries or retired members enjoying precious time with their grandchildren, both holiday homes have offered members much needed family time at discounted rates.

Holly, a serving West Midlands Police officer, expressed her thanks to the Fund last week.

“My parents had been isolating until government restrictions were lifted to allow for travel, they’d not seen very much of myself or my daughter and so a holiday together in such lovely surroundings was just what we all needed. We had a fabulous week and the position of house allowed for us to walk each day along the coastal path to experience Weymouth in just the most beautiful way. The house is ideally situated and provides really lovely accommodation. We felt immediately relaxed. Weymouth itself was equally as fantastic, we crabbed along the Harbour, had fish and chips and even partook a donkey ride on the beach. We loved it so much, we’ll look to return next Summer.

We still have weeks available at both properties over the winter season and into early Spring. Bookings can be made online via our calendar www.wmpben.co.uk

For next year’s bookings (commencing 1 May 2021) we will be running our usual ballot at the beginning of January. Members (who didn’t win the ballot this year) will be able to enter and register their interest. Successful members will be notified and any remaining weeks can then be booked on a first come first served basis via our online calendar.
