Management Committee approves more grants
At our recent management meeting more grants were approved to support both serving and retired officers.
Two small cash grants of £250 each went to members who were suffering immediate financial hardship.
A grant of £200 went as a donation to a charitable organisation that was providing one of our members with some counselling.
A £5000 interest free loan was given to a member who had got into debt and needed help to get their finances back on track.
£3000 went to a widow of a police officer, who had been medically retired some years ago. This grant paid for the installation of a central heating system.
£1,500 went to a retired officer suffering with several life threatening conditions to fund a re-conditioned stair lift.
