Summer fun for WMP Ben Fund members
As children return to school after the summer holidays many parents will breath a sigh of relief as the pressure of entertaining them over the six weeks holidays has finally passed.
Whilst the excitement of being off school throughout the summer sounds great fun for the kids, keeping them occupied can be tiring and costly.
We offered a helping hand to our members’ this summer by giving them the chance to win a fabulous family day out for each week of the school holidays.
As soon as schools broke up the Fund launched its Summer Prize Draw as a way of thanking members for their loyalty.
Sarah, based at Birmingham International Airport was one of the prize draw winners and was delighted with her family pass to the National Space Centre in Leicester.
“I have two children and they will be really excited about going to the Space Centre for a day out, thank you to the Benevolent Fund for making this trip happen, it’s a real treat for us all!”
Gary, who works on the priority team on Birmingham West and Central won a family pass to a National Trust site of his choice and Kate from Corporate Communications won a family day out to Birmingham’s interactive Thinktank.
The final prize, a family day out to Go Ape, worth £100 was won by Beth, a serving officer based at Perry Barr.
Roz Payne, Ben Fund secretary said, “We wanted to run a summer draw for our members as this is often the time when colleagues are juggling childcare with work commitments as well as managing the expectations of their children who want to be occupied throughout the school holidays.
“As a way of saying thank you to our members for their continued loyalty we thought a number of day passes to local attractions would be a nice treat for four lucky members to enjoy with their families.”
