Member thanks Ben Fund for prize draw day out
Throughout the school summer holidays the Fund offered its members the chance to win four fabulous days out as a thank you for their loyalty.
Kate Baker, who works in Corporate Communications joined the Benevolent Fund last year and was one of the lucky prize draw winners.
Kate kindly shared her recent day out with us.
“Our trip to the Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum.
We visited the Thinktank last weekend, we started with a trip to the planetarium which was really fun. It taught us about space and the sun. The show was magical.
Then we went to explore the museum, we got involved in all the interactive stuff. My brother, Jamie, loved the digger and collecting balls in the bucket. I liked the information on the human body and I loved the role play area. We fed mommy and daddy in the cafe, did x-rays and visited the dentist chair!
We had a go on the active living exercise video, it was great, we had to jump and run around.
Then we had our picnic and when we’d finished we explored the outdoor area. I loved the hamster wheel and the pulley- swing.
Back inside we looked at the trains, cars and machinery. Some of the machines were especially interesting for my daddy because he’s an engineer and uses similar, more modern machines.
We loved watching the bucket of water tip up. I also really liked the gemstone collection.
