Benevolent Fund says farewell to Rich Parker
It’s ‘all out’ for Ben Fund Director, Rich Parker as he steps down this month to enjoy a spot of cricket umpiring in his retirement.
Richard joined West Midlands Police in the 1980’s and became a Police Federation rep later on in his service. It was his work with the Police Federation that made him aware of the good work of the Benevolent Fund.
He later became a Fund Director and a great ambassador for its services. He embraced the ‘Join a Friend’ campaign, recommending work colleagues to join up and take advantage of the Funds many benefits.
Looking back on his career Richard admits that, “being part of the Benevolent Fund and being able to help colleagues in need has been, without a doubt, one of the most satisfying elements of my working life.”
Staff, committee members and Fund Directors would like to wish Rich all the very best as he steps down from the Benevolent Fund and bids us a final farewell. His work and commitment to the Fund over the years has been really appreciated and we wish him well.
Thank you Rich and happy retirement!
