Directors gather for first Management Meeting of 2016

We held our first Benevolent Fund Management Meeting for 2016 last week. Two grants were awarded, one for a serving officer who suffered permanent hearing loss to his left ear. His grant will help pay for specialist equipment that allows sound to travel, via Bluetooth, direct to his hearing implant. This will remove any background noise, vastly improving communication both at work and in his personal life.

The second grant is for a medically retired police officer, who was involved in an RTA whilst on duty. The grant will pay for an exercise bike to help with his mobility after it was severely affected following his accident.

An interest-free loan was also agreed for an officer and his family to consolidate their debt after his wife was made redundant.
