Sarah’s helping hand
A serving officer has shared the story of how the Benevolent Fund helped his family through some really difficult times. He was due to get married when his partner Sarah found out that she had a chronic illness.
She had just started her first teaching job but had to give up work and the couple ended up with mounting debt that became unmanageable.
The Benevolent Fund was able to step in and help them pay off their debts and now Sarah’s health is stable and they have two children.
