Crime commissioner joins Ben Fund

West Midlands Police Crime Commissioner David Jamieson has joined the Benevolent Fund. The news follows his visit to the Fund’s offices at Guardians House in Sheldon earlier this year.

He said: “I’m pleased to be a newly-signed up member of the scheme. Those who currently and have previously worked in the Force have done a remarkable job protecting the people of the West Midlands. None of us know when we or members of our family will find themselves in need through a family crisis, a sudden bereavement, an unexpected illness. If, for whatever reason, they face hard times and find it difficult to manage, the Fund can come to their aid”.

Chairman of the Ben Fund John Williams said he was really pleased to hear that Mr Jamieson had joined. “It’s great to know that we have the support of people like the PCC. More and more people are helping us to spread the word about the great work the Fund does and this is great to see.”
