Member says thank you
A serving officer has said thanks to the Benevolent Fund for “restoring his faith in humanity” after we helped him through some really difficult times.
He was given a “massive lifeline” in the form of a grant after finding himself struggling to cope financially.
“I was faced with moving home, having little but the clothes I was wearing. No home comforts in a strange new home, the future was not looking bright. After applying for a grant, I was contacted within days and offered what can only be described as a massive lifeline at that time,” he said.
“I was able to buy some very simple home comforts that made a world of difference when faced with nothing at all. I’m so grateful that the committee saw fit to help me in this way and glad that help is available to other members.”
“I’d like to say a massive thanks to the West Midlands Police Benevolent fund for restoring my faith in humanity.”
